NO CRIME!

IT IS A CASE OF GOOD OR BAD GOVERNANCE ONLY!

The BJP national conclave in Goa on April 12 has endorsed whatever Modi has done in Gujarat blaming everything on the "militant" Muslims. The "moderate" prime minister lashed out at the so-called Muslim terrorism to defend the genocide conducted by the Gujarat chief minister. Degrading the Muslim community as a whole he said, "wherever there are Muslims, they do not want to live with others. Instead of living peacefully they want to preach and propagate their religion by creating fear and terror in the minds of others." At the same time he had the acumen to say, "we don’t believe in religious fundamentalism."(!!!…)

Blaming everything on the Godhara incident he alleged, "if there had been no Godhara, tragedy in Gujarat would not have occurred." "But let us not forget how the whole thing started. Who started the fire?" The gullible and the liberal may still argue that the pm spoke these words "under pressure" and does not really belong to the "far right". On the fate of Modi the BJP leadership asked Modi to "dissolve the assembly and seek the verdict of the people" once again thus rejecting the demand of the opposition as well as of some of the NDA allies that also included the TDP of Naidu, who had turned a somersault by joining those who were demanding the dismissal of Modi. The conclave also adopted a unanimous resolution on Godhara and its Aftermath expressing full confidence in Modi’s ability to face the challenge in the state through "effective action".

Leave alone any reprimanding, or mere exoneration, the killer chief minister got kudos instead.

The alleged "secularists" of the TDP and the Trinamool Congress and the likes of the JD(U) and others who had exhibited crass opportunism in making an alliance with the BJP three years ago on the condition that the BJP would not carry out its communal agenda are caught in a fix. But this fix may not prove that fixing as opportunists never care for any principles. The BJP conclave has given them an escape route that Modi is to dissolve the assembly and seek a afresh mandate.

That is: Modi will remain and still will not remain.

One gang of opportunists have given a way to another gang of opportunists. And all this is being done in the name of democracy, the will of the people, the mandate. The TDP and the rest of the ilk, now, cannot speak against democracy and the will of the people. They already had enough time to declare their withdrawal from the NDA. Had they been genuine they would not have joined it in the first place. Now, if they persist in their demand to sack Modi it will look ridiculous. And if they leave the NDA, which is less likely, that will be the beginning of some other unholy alliance only.

This is how Indian democracy works with its all anti-people manoeuverings and subterfuges and contrivings. Here not only the worst kind of political opportunists manipulate to get a mandate but also the arch social criminals, extortionists and murderers can become the ‘representstives’ of the people and law makers. In other words the people get represented by criminals and criminals commit crimes in the name of the people. Everything works according to the great principle of exploiters’ democracy that is expressed in the words: of the people, by the people, for the people. And the people not only remain outside of the corridors of power they also are made to suffer the crimes that are committed in their name. As is the class of men who rule through elections, so is their state—extortionist, brigand, oppressive, inhuman and murderous. Modi, instead of being tried for mass murders will be ALLOWED to get again ‘DEMOCRATICALLY’ elected. And no law of the ‘great land of love, peace and humanism’ that is called India, is going to stop such criminals in their tracks.

Here we have another conclave of another brand of ‘secular’ opportunists, the Congress, whose chief ministers from 14 states have met in Guwahati and called for launching a countrywide agitation to remove Modi and, if possible, the central government too. The dissolution of the Gujarat assembly they would call it their victory. The BJP already wanted to have mid-term elections in Gujarat to show the people that it can win and carries weight in spite of the recent defeats in various states and Delhi Municipal elections. Godhara came as a right opportunity as they were already waiting for the one.

And the Congress is going to launch its campaign with the slogan that it only can give good governance. This is a very misleading term which also suits the big business and imperialism to enforce anti-people policies on the people and to crush their resistance in the name of governance. The chief ministers conclave declared a "war on communalism" without specifying that what that war will entail. Will it punish the culprits of Gujarat? No. Never. The culprits of 1984, 1992 are still around and many of them have been the "good governors" belonging to the Congress itself. They were let go "honourably" with "the charges could not be proved" sort of verdicts. Now again it (the congress) will not go to the people with a pledge to try and hang Modi and his cohort of killers including abettors. Only good governance! And good governance without any justice.

Here you have only the gunman, expert in executions; and the vulture, expert in scavenging the left-overs.
